2011 Adventure

My goal for 2011 is to participate in all of the Running Fit events. This puts two noteworthy milestones on the horizon, my first triathlon and my first ultramarathon. The current race itinerary includes 3 sprint triathlons, 5 5ks, 4 10ks, 6 half marathons, 1 full marathon, and an ultramarathon. For fun, I'm also throwing in a non-Running Fit cycling race that I plan to share in with my Dad.

I'll post here weekly to keep you updated on my progress. I might talk about training, post race results, tell you about my favorite events, or post really horrible pictures of me running. On the right side of the blog you'll be able to see the next 3 races in my schedule. Below that you'll find my PRs (Personal Records). I expect there will be some updates in that section, particularly for the half marathon, as the year goes by. Last, I would like to point out my favorite resources. I'll discuss some of those links in more detail in the future.

I hope that my family and friends, especially those of you unfamiliar with distance running, will join me on my adventure. Whether you can only cheer virtually, or you'd like to join my family on race day, I appreciate your support.
